Little Sheep, the Chinese hot pot chain restaurant, has opened its first flagship restaurant near the Military Museum in Beijing.
With an area of 900 square meters and a total investment of CNY6 million, the restaurant, which targets high-end business customers, can seat 240 people.
Zhang Zhanhai, senior vice president and chief brand officer of Little Sheep, told local media that as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games are drawing near, the opening of Little Sheep's first flagship restaurant in Beijing will accumulate experience for the company's expansion of different business models in the whole country and around the globe. At the same time, it will help to raise the international recognition of Little Sheep.
Zhang added that Little Sheep will open another three restaurants in Beijing before the end of 2008. By then, the number of Little Sheep chain restaurants in the capital of China will have reached 20.
First opened on August 8, 1999 in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, Little Sheep has developed from a 300 square meter restaurant into an international food and beverage company with more than 350 branches. At present, the company has opened restaurants in Japan, the United States, Canada, Indonesia, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as in many locations in China.
